Welcome to Miss Red’s Place, where you will find traditional Southern-style cooking in addition to innovative dishes to wow you and your guests.
In looking over our site, you will see tabs covering our menus and price lists, shipping information, ideas for parties, suggested catering menus, and our monthly newsletter and specials. The Lu’s News tab shows you some of Mr. B’s creations and details about services offered by Miss Red’s.
Miss Red’s is the “place to go” for catering for your personal parties and dinners. In addition, we are specializing in catered events ranging from business parties and dinners to group breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, such as boards of directors’ meetings, lunches at medical facilities and doctors’ offices, to meals for seminars, group meetings, and sales presentations. Miss Red’s can take care of your catering needs.
Craig’s creative side is blossoming. He has decorated several wedding cakes that took our breath away. In addition, he has produced a Hamburger Cake, Hotdog Cake, various decorated theme cakes, and just about anything anyone has asked him to decorate. We will always let you know if it is too much for us to handle - we don’t want to disappoint - but give us a try. You can see some of his creations under Lu’s News.
In reviewing the updated menus, if you are missing some of your old favorites from past menus, don’t fret - we still have those recipes. But, in an effort to keep things fresh and current, we sometimes have to “retire” menu selections. Just give us a call - we will be glad to prepare just what you need. In addition, if you have an idea for something not listed or just an old favorite of yours that you want us to attempt, we are always willing to grow and stretch our culinary effort. Give us a call - I bet we can please you.
Keep in mind that we cook everything to order, so, most likely, we don’t have anything “in the freezer” except supplies. We do, on occasion, have casseroles that are remainders from other orders we have filled. It never hurts to give us a call to see what is on hand, but don’t want you to be disappointed if the cupboards are empty. We just about always have Southern Pimento Cheese available and, most times, Homemade Chicken Salad. And, if you have an emergency, I will always turn on the ovens for you - any time, any day - just let us know.
Miss Red’s has been in business over 14 years and we thank each of you for making this all possible. Your steadfast support enabled this unbelievable growth - we would be nowhere without our valued, dedicated customers. We look forward to serving you for years to come. Let us know what we can bake for you - you know it will be Yummy for the Tummy!!!

Craig can hardly believe that I can actually wash dishes, but you can see proof in this picture. Cheer detergent could use this for a great advertisement!
Lula DeLoach, known as Miss Red, from LaFayette, Alabama, is the inspiration for our business. Miss Red, Lu's grandmother, gave birth to Lu’s desire for cooking many years ago in a loving Southern kitchen, full of all the aromas you associate with good cooking. From a single pound cake to catering a dinner for 250, Miss Red’s spirit is with us in everything we do. We wonder at the redbirds in our back yard each day and know it is a sign that she is watching over us. We hope she is proud.
